“Jingle bell Jingle bell, Jingle all the way,
Santa Claus is coming around
riding on his sleigh…….”
In the hustle bustle of life, when we hardly have time to be with ourselves, to be with our family or to be with our near ones, there are some who make sure to spend quality time to bring a smile on the face of children who because of some circumstances do not have a family along.
In the race of life when we are working day-in and day-out to go high in our career, there are some to whom equally important is filling colors in the canvas of life of children who can not afford to go to a school sometimes due to unavailability of a good school nearby; sometimes due to financial constraints.
Abhishek, Kasturi, Ruchi, Seema, Sudha, Kartik, Geeta, Mihir, Ravi, Tanmay, Venkat, and Ayora Berry;
- They are those some people who are making difference in the lives of children.
- They are those some people who love to fill the life of children with the ink of knowledge;
- they are those some people who may not have time for themselves but always make sure to have some time to be with these children.
These some people are no individuals but they all belong to one family:
S’PRAYAS: Enriching life at DEHU, KAMSHET and DISHA!!!!
For children at Dehu, Kamshet and Disha, the wait for Santa this Christmas was not a long one; Not one, not 2, not 3 but 12 Santa Claus came to greet them, be with them and bring smile to them.
The moment the SPrayas team reached each of these 3 places, it was no less than a family reunion. The handshake, the hug, the smile spoke everything. It was the unconditional love from both ends that filled the air on this holy day….
I can recall a question that was asked by a kid at Dehu after hearing the story of Santa Claus and Christmas, “Is there Santa Claus in real????” Answer given was “Santa Claus kalpanik hain…”
I disagree; coz you all are the Santa Claus in disguise. You are giving each of the children the most precious gift: “your time” dipped in love so pure and so true.
If anyone believes “Out of Sight; Out of Mind;”, then one must listen to the questions asked by kids at Kamshet:
“Praveen Sir nahi aaye?????
Shivani mam kahaan hain??? Woh kyon nahi aaye????.....”
(Praveen and Shivani are members of SPrayas team who couldn’t turn up in person due to some unavoidable circumstances for the Christmas Celebration.)
Hidden behind these questions was how you all at SPRAYAS have touched the heart of these children and with all you do for them, you are always there in the core of their heart. These questions reflect the special bond that these children share with one and all at SPrayas.
This Christmas I got the chance to be with this wonderful S’PRAYAS family for complete day and I could not stop myself from pouring my thoughts. I met the kids for the first time but the warmth I received from them, I will cherish for lifetime.
We all live for ourselves but hats off to S’PRAYAS who lives for many. I wish you all the very best for the wonderful work you all are doing.
Looking forward to be a part of the wonderful work you all are doing.
